Each year we hold a charity sports morning for our over three year old children.
We run races traditional to sports days, egg and spoon, sack races and relay teams where children rely and work with each other. We also run two races to win two separate cups the "Fledglings Cup" for the fastest three year old and the "Fordfield Flyer Cup" for the fastest runner in nursery.
We usually choose a charity close to home or one affecting or supporting one of our own children or families.
This year we felt that we had to help others in need further away, communities that had survived horrors and hardship that affected all of us.
This year, 2017, Fordfield Nursery Parents and children for our charity sports morning raised a massive £800 for the surviving children of the Grenfell Tower fire disaster.
Out of a fantastic, enthusiastic, joyously happy morning we found all of our childen made a great effort, participated in good spirit, applauded winners and losers alike and from the heats we congratulate our cup winners.
